The Walnut Creek communications committee is pleased to announce another “Ham Cram” training session that will be held on Saturday, November 17th from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM in the Garden Room at the Dollar Clubhouse in Rossmoor. The class fee remains at $35.00 and our “pass ratio” continues to hold firm in the 95% to 100% range for our students, who are delighted to qualify for their FCC ham license in just one day!
We will follow up the ham cram training session with two “Get-On-The-Air” classes that are scheduled for Wednesday evenings, November 19th andDecember 17th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. In those classes, which will meet in General Purpose Room #3 at the Gateway club house complex, successful ham cram graduates will receive basic radio procedural training and get the chance to acquire their own hand held radios through a specially discounted pricing program facilitated by our Walnut Creek communications committee members.
Please mark your calendars now and look for additional instructions from the primary instructors as to more details  in the next few days.We are looking forward to training new CERT members from your areas and are depending on you to reach out to them to let them know this great training opportunity is being offered again this year!  Also, these training sessions can be very helpful for reinforcement training with our current CERT ham licensees who feel that they need to “brush up” on their transmitting skills. All are welcome!
If you need any more information right now or desire to nominate candidates for the classes, please feel free to contact Dick DuBey by return email or call at925.876.0125 (Cell phone).
